After obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Bryant University, James Barbieri went on to attend the University of Houston Police Academy. He completed his police training as a distinguished graduate, holding the highest academic average in his graduating class. He was then hired as a law enforcement officer in Houston, Texas.

​In 1986, Mr. Barbieri obtained a private investigation and insurance adjusters license, and has worked in the claims industry ever since. Backed by extensive experience in SIU fraud investigations, Mr. Barbieri is now a Certified Insurance Fraud Investigator (CIFI) He is member of the International Association of Special Investigation Units, a renowned insurance fraud association. Mr. Barbieri also specializes in handling commercial trucking claims.

Karen Bergenstock
Claims Adjuster

Mrs. Bergenstock has 25 years of experience as an insurance adjuster, an Associates degree in Criminal Justice and a licensed private detective and adjuster since 1993.

Luis Dechoudens
Claims Adjuster

Mr. Dechoudens is a licensed claims adjuster in GA and has been working for claims advantage for the past 2.5 years. He is currently in the process of obtaining an associates in claims at the Insurance Institute of America.​

Glenn Bathgate
Fire Inspections & Investigations

Retired captain Glenn Bathgate has 30 years of experience in Fire Service and has investigated the origin and cause of more than 5000 fires. He is an active member of the International Association of Arson Investigators.​

Stephen Quartino
Private Investigator

​Mr. Quartino heads up our Rhode Island Investigations and holds a Bachelor’s of Science and a Master’s of Science in Criminal Justice. He is a graduate of both the Federal Bureau of Investigation Academy and the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center. Throughout his career, Mr. Quartino’s work has resulted in more than 100 criminal prosecutions. 

Anthony Cerrito
Senior Private Investigator

Mr. Cerrito heads up our Georgia Investigations and carries an extensive professional portfolio. He has over 30 years of field experience, encompassing field surveillance, special investigations, and executive protection. He holds certification in both counter-terrorism and hijack crisis prevention. He has also undergone extensive martial arts training throughout his career. 

Digna Barbieri
Office Manager, Accountant

Digna Barbieri graduated from Pontificia Catholic University in Dominican Republic with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. She has previously worked at the accounting departments of Bank of America and Citizens Bank. Ms. Barbieri has been the Office Manager at Claims Advantage, Inc since 2004. She also serves as the company’s Spanish Interpreter.
